About the Clarkstown Education Foundation
The
not-for-profit Clarkstown Education Foundation raises
money to enhance and expand educational opportunities
for the students of the Clarkstown Central School
District through community-wide participation and
philanthropy.
Why a
Foundation now? With the escalating costs of core
services and the rapid changes in instructional
technology, it has become increasingly difficult to:
-
Fund innovative educational programs that enrich the
educational experience;
-
Provide the most up-to-date technologies in our
classrooms; and
-
Manage the rising costs of a college education for
students and their parents.
The
Foundation is a way to help meet these needs.
The
foundation will fund programs, scholarships, and
technological advances via contributions, proceeds from
fund-raising activities, and grant monies. No taxpayer
dollars will be used.
A high
performing school system with a proven record of
success, the Clarkstown Central School District educates
approximately 9400 students from grades kindergarten
through grade 12th in 10 elementary schools, a middle
school, two senior high schools, and a school for those
with special needs. The Foundation is a way to provide
financial resources to augment the excellent work
already underway in our schools.
How
can I become involved? The Clarkstown Education
Foundation will only succeed through the support of our
local community. You can participate by:
-
Making tax-deductible contributions to the
Clarkstown Education Foundation. (Tax-exempt status
for the non-profit Foundation is pending.)
-
Attending and supporting Foundation events
-
Volunteering time to help organize fund-raising and
Foundation events
-
Contributing goods or services pro-bono
